Burdine

Tonight, the Western Heights Board of Education approved the hire of Mr. Travis Burdine as the new Head Football Coach for Western Heights High School.

Mr. Burdine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an Associate degree in Sports Management, both conferred from Southwestern College of Kansas, Winfield, KS, in May 2005. He also holds certifications as a Personal Trainer and has multiple NFHS certifications.

Mr. Burdine has extensive experience in coaching, having served most recently as the Head Football Coach in OKCPS at Classen School of Advanced Studies (SAS) at Northeast High School. His previous roles include Head Track Coach, Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Mr. Burdine expressed, “I am excited to join Western Height as the new head football coach. The support and confidence from the administration make this the perfect opportunity. I am excited to build a winning program both in the classroom and on the field, which will take dedication, determination, discipline, and longevity. Go Jets.”
