Update • 10:02AM: At this time, the Western Heights Middle School, High School, and Winds West have their power restored.
However, the District evacuated the middle school campus and students have been safely relocated to the high school commons area. If you would like to check out your middle school child/children, please do so from the high school campus.
The District team is working in lock step with the local fire department and other local officials to assess the situation and to identify next steps. As always, safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority. We will continue to provide updated information via our website, alert system, and social media.
We appreciate your continued grace, support, and understanding. Thank you.
Update • 9:23AM: Western Heights Middle School, High School, and Winds West continue to be without power. We are working with our internal and external team members to remedy this situation; however, we are not sure of an estimated completion time. As always, safety and security are our top priorities for our students and staff. As a result of the unknown timeline, we will excuse absences for students who are checked out by parents/guardians. This is only for WHMS, WHHS, and Winds West. Thank you for your understanding and continued grace.
The District is aware that there are power outages at our High School, Middle School, and Winds West campuses. As always, safety and security are our top priorities for our students and staff. We will continue to provide updates as more information is available through our website, social media, and alert system. We appreciate you and you understanding.
